Lago di Misurina

We’ll already be taking in the stunning sunset over Lago di Misurina, a beautiful natural lake guarded by high peaks as the backdrop.

Falzarego Pass

Craving sunrise views, we’ll dive into an early crisp Dolomites morning and make our way to the Falzarego Pass so we could catch the majestic Tofana Mountain in the back.

Tre Cime di Lavaredo

In the afternoon, we’ll drive to Three Peaks, one of the symbols of the Dolomites. Often called the three merlons, these battlement-like peaks are hard to miss and will last us until the sunset photo shoot.

Lago di Braies

Following a hearty breakfast, our sunrise location will take us to the famous Lago di Braies. A great start for the day, the lake’s imposing location and rich history will be a rewarding sight after the wake-up call.

Santa Maddalena

In the early afternoon, we’ll move on to the Funes Valley to marvel at one of the most popular photographic attractions in the area. Dotted with picturesque churches of Santa Maddalena, the last village of the valley, this place is special. Sitting among rolling green forested hills, the huge and ominous jagged peaks behind it - you simply can’t get a better view than this…

Passo Giau

Getting up early, we’ll be headed to catch a candy of a sunrise over the mountain pass of Passo Giau. Standing amidst a vast pasture, high above Cortina d’Ampezzo, our basecamp, we will have the pale mountain peaks from a ringside seat.

Colle Santa Lucia

Leaving the pass behind, we will take the opportunity to take a breather and fill up on some tasty Italian cuisine to get us all ready for the sunset over Colle Santa Lucia, a teeny old mountain village with a giant block of Monte Pelmo dominating the background and the other peaks around.

Cinque Torri

This time, another early morning will see us chasing sunrise over the five mythical towers of Cinque Torri, a unique formation that looks like fragments of hanging rocks, which in fact they are. :-)

Lago di Landro

Saluting the sun, we’ll find ourselves at Lago di Landro. A beautiful lake in whose calm enchanted mirror you can see the Cristallo mountain rage.

Jeep Trip to Lago Federa

As a cherry on top, we'll make a jeep trip to meet the sun shining bright on the Lago Federa lake.

The Milky Way Photo Shooting

Clear sky and a low level of air pollution offer a unique opportunity to capture the monumental Dolomites peaks with the Milky Way as an impressive background.

Any Questions First?

Digital camera (i.e. DSLR or mirrorless camera) with wide angle lenses highly recommended for landscape photos, and telephoto lenses comes in real handy, especially when you wish to get some detail of the landscape. Good tripod and a remote shutter release for tack sharp pictures. Neutral density and polarizer filters (if you have any).
Make sure you pack up warm and waterproof gear. It can get pretty cold or damp. We are talking mountain weather and the Dolomites are no exception :)
Most of the photo spots are easily approachable from the car, typically only a few hundred meters of walking distance. We can also organize a moderate hike during the photo tour to reach other great spots for shooting, but it’ll always be conditioned by the physical shape the other attendees are in.
Mountain landscapes have one advantage, minimum of light pollution. And it would be a darn shame not to treat your lens to the playful stars printed in the sky hanging over the Dolomites. After all, the Milky Way arc is a promise of epic panoramas...
We prioritize the comfort of our guests and therefore all of our tours are designed for single occupancy.
The minimum number of attendees on this photo tour is 4.
The maximum number of attendees is 7 attendees per tour.
In that case, it’s up to us to decide whether we want to organize the photo tour anyways, and we’ll update you shortly. In case we decide to not go through with the tour, we’ll return you the money paid in the tour account asap.
The tour itinerary is set within the tour program as the basic outline but it may vary depending on the weather conditions. We’re trying hard to deliver you the best experience according to the actual situation. The tour itinerary is only set as the basic outline of the tour - it is not hardwired into the program because it largely depends on the weather conditions. It is in our best interest to try hard and deliver the best experience, in fair and foul weather, according to the situation we are facing.
First, you book the tour via the booking form linked from the detail page of the particular photo tour. As soon as we receive your booking request, we’ll let you know whether your booking was confirmed. Once you obtain the booking confirmation with all the photo tour details, you’ll also receive payment details to make the advance payment or full payment in case the start of the photo tour is too close. The advance payment should be made within 7 days, while the full payment should be made asap. After receiving your payment, you’re officially signed up for the tour. And finally, if you made advance payment, you should cover the remaining balance no longer than 30 days before the photo tour starts.
As of now, we only provide our customers with wire transfer option, but are planning to also accept card payments in the near future. Unfortunately, we’re not planning to include PayPal.
